"It is when people forget God that tyrants forge their chains."
- Patrick Henry

19 Although the Lord sent prophets to the people to bring them back to him, and though they testified against them, they would not listen.
20 Then the Spirit of God came on Zechariah son of Jehoiada the priest. He stood before the people and said, “This is what God says: ‘Why do you disobey the Lord’s commands? You will not prosper. Because you have forsaken the Lord, he has forsaken you.’”  2 Chronicles 24

Today was the 2012 election in the United States of America, but we the people were not united.  Over the past few years lies about my Lord have begone to infect the hearts and mind of His People.  This has been one of the things I have addressed, due my conviction as a Christian to share the truth with my brother and sisters.
I know that most Christian's don't spent as much time as I do with apologetics (from Greek ἀπολογία, "speaking in defense") or Christian doctrine as I do.  This does not make me more spiritual or more of a Christian than anyone else.  This however does say "I'm a geek".  In past posting on this blog I noted that my love of God and the way we treat others is my first and foremost concern.  It is my love of God's creations that drives my actions and thoughts, it is this theme that drives this blog.
My pray is that who ever wins tonight that His people the Christians, will reflect Christ in their actions.  Jesus is Lord of lord and King of kings, and the Father will set up whoever He feels we are worthy to have.  So wear do we as Christians go from here?  Where we should have been all along, spread and sharing the Good News of the True Jesus Christ.

The only TRUE change comes through the Holy Spirit which we receive when we put our faith in Jesus Christ.  We can not effect moral change without changing someones heart.  We are all fallen people, sinful and self seeking.  It is only through the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit that we chose to do the right thing and often, still then we quench the Spirit, continuing to do our own thing.  Then, how are the people who live outside the Spirit able to make moral choices?

10 For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” 11 Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.”12 The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, “The person who does these things will live by them.”13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” 14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. - Galatians 3

The Law was given to us, not to save us but to condemned us.  We all fall short and can only be saved by the Grace give through accepting the gift of Jesus, freely.  The church in the past has tried many things throughout history to impose, Jesus and morals.  This goes against all of what the Gospel stands for and is.

What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. - 1 Corinthians 2:12

The other thing we have been called to do, is defend the Lord, His Son; Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

2 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. - 2 Peter 2:1

but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.” -
Mark 3:28-30

It is this defense of my beloved Lord, I have been posting in regards to the LDS, the Mormons.  You can call and distort me as you wish but when people corrupt my Lord I must stand firm and defend.  They are corrupt in their beliefs and distort God and the Trinity.  They present themselves as Christians, but do not believe in the Christ of Christianity.  They may give honor to a man named Jesus, but he is just a man, a fallen man who earned his godhood through good acts.(on another planet)

In the words of Jesus to His own disciples:
16 “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. 17 Be on your guard; you will be handed over to the local councils and be flogged in the synagogues. 18 On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. 19 But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, 20 for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
21 “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. 22 You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 23 When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes. - Matthew 10

Go.  May you go in peace and the wisdom of the Holy Spirit, in the Name of Jesus the Son of God.
